As part of the COIN-3D project, several researchers from the University of Thessaly recently visited the University of Bremen, strengthening collaboration with our partner institution and advancing research on reliable next-generation integrated systems.
🔹 George Goudroumanis and Nikolaos Kostakis worked closely with Prof. Alberto Garcia-Ortiz on topics including 3D physical design, heterogeneous integration, placement optimization, and approximate computing methodologies using the OpenROAD framework.
🔹 Ilias Exouzidis focused on reliability challenges in advanced 3D integrated circuits, investigating noise-aware design methodologies for analog circuits and reliability-driven approaches across different 3D integration technologies.

These visits provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange, technical discussions, and the development of new research directions within the COIN-3D collaboration.
